Beco…Loves cooking

Bako is a 12-year-old boy, who combines his Nigerian heritage with his love of cooking – making jollof rice, egusi soup and fried plantain.
He has 100% school attendance, is an enthusiastic learner and contributes well in class. He has lots of talents and interests outside school, including reading, drawing, swimming, gaming, watching films, and trips to theme parks.
Bako has a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and sometimes struggles with peer relationships, but engages well with adults, especially his current carers, who he has lived with for several years. He enjoys seeing his family through supervised family time.
Bako needs carers who can help him to explore his feelings and help him keep himself safe. Carers will also need to provide reassurance and help Bako continue to develop strategies to cope when he’s feeling anxious.
